high, dry, and pie in the sky

It wasn't supposed to make sense.

I have officially had my first performance with a band... and it was an absolute blast! I am stil on the performance high, as I knew I would be. Hopefully I'll be tired enough to sleep in time to get up for church...

In other news, the persistent fellow called me tonight just before the show, and I answered it in spite of myself. I told him that I was uncomfortable with all the attention, wanted him to stop it, and that I couldn't go with him tomorrow. He took it remarkably well and said that if I changed my mind, I should call.

I won't.

But I was both polite and firm, non-blaming and non-apologetic. Just as I would have wanted to be. It was truly a relief to know that I could stand up for myself and speak up on my own behalf.

I sang my gig with a free heart. It was fabulous.

So now I'm starting to get tired (yay!) and will head for bed soon. A bit of chatting first, and then the warm blanket and soft pillow.

absolutely! Hopefully I'll be able to get them from Klaus and Matthias; I think both of them had photos taken. Klaus did at least; a guy from the audience came up and gave his camera back after the show... I assume that he was the unofficial photographer. :)
