I think you'll be fine. You might not have the scientific research experience, but you've done research, for criminy sakes! Also, I remember some of those students you dealt with in Freshman Studies and Trio Programs. They're diverse, and in a pinch, I will always vouch for your ability to work with a diverse group. :)
