  1. Keeping up after the Shmoog.
  2. That pretty much speaks for itself.

  3. Knitting.
  4. Not hanging around Ravelry as much as perhaps previously, but I have been making Jayne hats.  I even sold one on Artfire!  My Etsy account has yet to yield a sale, but I continue to live in hope.

I'm also auctioning one off for charity: Save Peter & Ericka's Accessible House

  5. Arguing with my phone.
  6. It's dying.  It's a freebie phone that came with the cell plan about three years ago.  It turns off randomly, and will sometimes power up again.

As soon as the tax return comes in, I will have no more excuses not to get an iPhone.

  7. Blogging.
  8. At least in theory.  I have a number of places of my own, but most recently I've joined up at Gender Goggles, and done a total of One!  One Guest Post there.  I have another that needs to be written, which I'll aim for this week, if the Shmoog's teething will calm down long enough for me to concentrate and write simultaneously.

  9. Making friends.
  10. A regrettably necessary activity when one is in a new city.  I helped a friend start packing/loading truck last night for a move that is taking until the end of the month to be completed; I plan to at least try to attend a moms' group meeting Tuesday evening; a young woman I met through a knitting group has been invited over for dinner Thursday; a crafting/clothing swap night is planned in about two weeks amongst a group of friends to whom tanglethis introduced me.

I have a good start, it seems.

Yup, I'm lazy.

Okay, not lazy. Busy. Working a lot does this for me: it makes me spend less time on the computer, and more time with the people around me. But this is my Friday night, for this week at least, and I'm determined to make a bit more of a connection with folks in other places than my home and town.

So I've put a bit out there. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to catching up with all of you.

This return to LJ brought to you by [livejournal.com profile] bluecanarykit and [livejournal.com profile] mipish and the number 3.

Yes, it's true. The layout changes gave it away: I'm actually on LiveJournal again, and this time, I'm posting.

It should go without saying that during graduate school I spend little time on this, and this is my last semester, and therefore the one during which I am Most Likely to Forget About Everything Except The Exam in January.

A quick update, for those who came in late. ;)

I did, in fact, get married on July 22 (the day after the next most-recent post, if you can call it 'recent' at all). The ceremony was lovely (ask [livejournal.com profile] bluecanarykit, she was there) and my husband is still the most wonderful man in the world. I'm not settling into Wifey per se, but I have been enjoying the pure, simple mundanity that is Sharing a Life Together.

Also, I turned 29 a few weeks ago. I am no longer under any obligation to get older. I may choose to do so, but that is entirely my option. ;)

Other than that, I'm working in the library again, designing a few sites here and there, and generally enjoying myself.

In this generous spirit, I offer you some online, free, and (mostly) highly artistic entertainment of the webcomic variety:

Enjoy.
