Mine are not even friends-only-public right now. If you want to know, ask me. Email, IM, whatever. If I can tell you, I will.

Suffice to say, I'm surviving. Life in general is good, even wonderful at times, and I'm grateful for those blessings in my life. I'm usually aware of them, and consciously try to think about them when I catch myself in a foul mood.

Trouble is, I'm still letting those areas of lacking dominate my thinking. I stare into that abyss much too much to actually say I'm really happy.

I can't just sit here and say nothing, so this is what I wrote. It's not much, but it's a start.

Thanks for the encouragement. :) I have no clue what I actually need to do regarding all that junk, but for right now I'm figuring that I'm single for a reason. I like to think that, anyway.

Thanks Scott. A change of schedule is definitely a good idea. In fact, I added a workout to my schedule last night, and five minutes into it I felt 100% better. It also didn't hurt that my sister went with me. I had good company, got out of the house, and did something physical, which I had been needing. So much of my job is mental work that my brain gets tired and needs a break.

But trying to turn left when I would always turn right... sounds like trying to put pants on starting with the other foot... it is a small change, but a change nonetheless.

Mr. Clemens always has good things to say. He's particularly pertinent today.

Heh, that's funny, I used to do that when I lived alone before. I got pretty depressed (especially in the winter!) and I'd go buy myself flowers (sometimes roses!) just for my dining room table. It was nice to come home to.

That little change will have to wait until I have money (right now rent isn't looking too secure, at least not on time) but I will try to go somewhere where there are flowers and enjoy them tomorrow. :)

Funny thing... I keep making small changes, just random stuff... finding new ways home, etc.

I typically listen to the same 50 songs, but only because I do the CD thing (at least they're of my choosing). I almost never listen to commercial radio.

Still, turning off the radio is a good idea. I've gone on "media fasts" before when I was too stressed out (about 2 weeks after 9/11, para exemplo).
